●Ampere hour-a unit of current intensity, 1 ampere hour means that the maximum discharge current in 1 hour is 1 ampere.

●Amp-hour capacity-the amperage of a rechargeable battery during a single discharge. The ampere-hour capacity of the battery during discharge is determined by many factors, the most important of which are: the limit voltage, the amount of electrolyte and its density, the discharge rate, the design of the separator; the battery life, the temperature and the usage; the number of electrodes, the electrode design And electrode size.

●Anode——In a primary battery or a secondary battery, a metal electrode that releases electrons to the load circuit and dissolves into the electrolyte.

●Available capacity-the total battery capacity, usually expressed in ampere hours or milliampere hours. The usable capacity is determined by the terminal voltage, the amount of electrolyte and its density, battery life, operating temperature, discharge rate and battery usage.

●Battery-a device that converts stored chemical energy into electrical energy, usually consisting of two or more electric cells connected electrically. The term "battery" is also commonly used on single batteries, such as household batteries.

●Battery types-Generally speaking, there are two types of batteries: primary batteries, secondary batteries or accumulators. Primary batteries sometimes use the same active materials as secondary batteries, and the material composition is to obtain a continuous discharge or intermittent discharge. The material used in the secondary battery is to make it rechargeable after being partially or completely discharged, and the current direction of charge and discharge is opposite. When recharging after discharging, the anode plate or anode is in a higher oxidation state, while the cathode plate is in a lower state, and then returns to the original charging state.

●Battery capacity-the amount of electricity released by the battery under certain conditions (discharge rate, temperature, termination voltage, etc.), usually expressed in ampere-hour, watt-hour and other similar units. The capacity in watt-hours is equal to the capacity in amp-hours multiplied by the battery voltage.

●Battery charger-electronic equipment that can charge rechargeable batteries.

●Battery charging rate-the numerical value of the current when the rechargeable battery is charging.

●Battery cut-off voltage-the lower limit voltage specified when the battery is fully discharged. The cut-off voltage or final voltage is for the effective use of battery capacity. The cut-off voltage varies with battery type, discharge rate, temperature, and battery usage conditions. The "cut-off voltage" is more used for primary batteries, and the final voltage is used for rechargeable batteries.

●C——The rated capacity under constant current discharge, in ampere hours. For example, C5 capacity represents the amperage of the battery in 5 hours under constant current. The capacity of the same battery is also different. For example, the capacity of C5 is usually less than that of C20.

●Cathode—In a primary battery or a secondary battery, an electrode that causes the anode to undergo oxidation reaction or obtain electrons.

●Cell-an electrochemical device that is composed of anode plate, cathode plate, separator and electrolyte, and can store electrical energy. When the battery cell is installed in a container and installed on the wire end, it is a battery unit.

●Charging-used for storage battery, it is the operation process of converting the electric energy input into storage battery from external circuit into chemical energy and storing it. The principle is to allow direct current to pass in the opposite direction of the discharge to restore the active material in the battery. Generally speaking, a battery cell or battery is fully charged when it is charged.

●Charge rate-used to charge the battery, refers to the constant current value required to charge to the rated capacity within the specified time. For example, a 500Ah battery with a charging rate of C/10 can be expressed as follows:

C/10 charging rate=500Ah/10h=50A

●Charging status-the remaining capacity status of the battery.

●Charging-the process of converting electrical energy into stored chemical energy.

●Constant current charging-a charging method in which the charging current remains constant during charging. The constant current charging of some lead-acid batteries includes the initial current and the final current.

●Constant voltage charging-a charging method that keeps the voltage at both ends of the charger constant during charging.

● Cycle-a sequence of charge and discharge. Deep cycle requires that every time the battery or battery pack is discharged, all the energy is exhausted to the specified terminal voltage. In the shallow cycle, only part of the energy is consumed during each discharge, which means that the energy may be any value up to 50%.

● Cycle life-the number of charge and discharge cycles that a rechargeable battery can reach before it fails. In fact, when a battery or battery pack uses 80% of its ampere-hour capacity, it is usually considered to have reached its end of life.

●Discharge depth-the percentage of battery discharge capacity to rated capacity.

●Discharge-the process of converting the chemical energy of the battery into electrical energy.

●Deep discharge-before the battery or battery pack is recharged, all its electrical energy is consumed to the final voltage.
